Many guests delight in simply hanging out and enjoying the beach, the river, the gardens and farms. For others, we have curated and exciting list variety of things you can do while you’re staying with us. Turn your precious time into an opportunity to express your art, bond with friends and family over board games or around the bonfire, or do some crafts that you can proudly bring back home.
Activites
Beach and water sports
We do not have regular swimming pools. Instead, Pannzian offers you the Pasaleng Bay and the Pannzian River as natural alternatives. The beach at Pannzian is vast and never feels crowded, even during the busiest times – long walks or runs are possible in either direction. Year-round, our nearby crystal-clear river pools are great for a clean, refreshing fresh-water dip.
During the spring and summer months, the beach is wonderful for swimming and playing in the surf, under the watchful eye of our certified lifeguard. A few paddle boards are also available for guest use. Knowledgeable local “banqueros” can be hired to take you out in Pasaleng Bay, where you can try your luck fishing for marlin, Spanish mackerel, and numerous other wild fish.
Within 30 minutes drive of Pannzian are world-class spots for surfing, wind-surfing and kite-surfing. Just ask at the front desk and we’ll connect you with establishments that offer equipment rentals and lessons. Or if you prefer, bring you own equipment and maybe even find your own “secret spot”.
We are a dog-friendly spot!
Read our guest reviews and you’ll see that Pannzian’s lovable canines are a star attraction. All are fully vaccinated, clean, friendly, and gentle with kids of any age. They can guide you to the beach or river, and they love to play fetch or join you for a swim. Guests’ dogs are welcome to stay at the resort too. Pannzian is dog heaven.
Games, library, music, movies, bonfires
Unplug and rediscover the simple shared delights of an impromptu jam session on the beach, toasting marshmallows around a beach bonfire, an absorbing game of chance or skill, or a real book. Board games, acoustic guitars and beat box, a library, and evening screenings of classic family-oriented films are all offered to our guests free of charge. Marshmallows too!
Nature and farm trails
Right next to the resort are the organic farms, fruit trees and free-range poultry grounds. Both children and adults can sign up for farm walks, where they can see, pick and eat their own choice of vegetables and fruits. Popular Pannzian Farm products include mulberry jam, mango chutney, and lemongrass juice.
Also found here is the birdwatching station, established in cooperation with Northwestern University of Laoag. Their experts have determined that the Pannzian area is a major flyway for migratory raptors (including the famed Philippine Eagle) and other birds, and have trained our local staff to assist in identifying and counting them. Birdwatchers from around the world flock to Pannzian!
A little further afield is the trek to the spring. This 20 minute trail walk, a gentle climb alongside peaceful farm fields with sweeping views of Pasaleng Bay, takes you to the clean, cool spring-fed pools where you can enjoy a refreshing dip.
Conferences, Retreats & Teambuilding
The new Pavilion events center where groups up to 200 can gather. Sliding partitions can divide the space into smaller rooms. And during breaks, your group will enjoy refreshments out on the expansive terrace, which boasts a marvelous view of Pannzian Farms and the sea. With no televisions or wifi on site, your group will interact and bond without distractions. The beach and grounds are very spacious, easily accommodating any and all group activities. There is also a large covered stage next to the beach, and a smaller more private conference room.
We can supply trainers and facilitators through our service providers to create effective learning activities, or we can work with your own planners and facilitators.
Weddings
With its broad beach, lovely gardens and the Pavilion events center, is a superb site for your destination wedding. Our resort’s alluring and pristine beauty makes for an unforgettable backdrop for that moment when you say, “I do.” Highlight your wedding with gentle sea breeze and the rhythmic ebb and flow of our waves – creating a romantic setting for your special day. End the night with a private reception at the beach, complete with torches and bonfires.
